THE TOUR
The South Coast Winter Tour is played over a 3 day weeked between 10-member teams picked by the captains in a draft draw format. It consists of 3 match-play sessions played over three days at the Wild Coast Sun Golf Course in the Eastern Cape.
Team Selection
Team Beks & Team Cammo will be made up from the top 10 eligible players having previously featured in the SCWT over the years as well as Captains Picks for first time appearances on the tour.
Tour Format
Day 1 includes five-match sessions of foursomes, day 2 consists of five-match sessions of Betterball. The final day is reserved for 10 singles matches to then crown the winning team.
Tour Scoring
Each match is worth one point, with matches ending in a draw worth ½ point to each side. The first team to reach 10 ½ points wins the SCWT. If teams are locked at 10-10 winners are determined on Stableford points accumulated after the 3 days of competition.
A GOLF TOUR LIKE NO OTHER
The South Coast Winter Tour has become one of the prominent golfing events. Every year, 20 of the best eligible players from prestigious KZN schools go head-to-head in match play competition.
Drama, tension, incredible golf, camaraderie and sportsmanship are served in equal measure, captivating an experience like no other. It’s an event that transcends sport, yet remains true to the spirit of its founders.

THE COURSE
Wild Coast Sun Country Club
Home to a challenging 18-hole championship golf course that stretches along the expansive Wild Coast in the Eastern Cape, the Wild Coast Sun Country Club forms part of the South African PGA circuit. With its par-70 card rating, the course boasts magnificent ocean views and magnificently curated fairways and greens.
THE RULE
Buffalo Rule Applies.
Buffalo is a drinking game where participants agree to only drink from their glass with their left hand. If you are caught using the left hand, they must ‘chug’ or ‘skull’ (rapidly finish) their drink.
The game is often presented as a “lifetime commitment”, where agreeing to play it means that others who know this may catch you out for drinking with the wrong hand at any point in the future.
